May Friendship Day

Ladies, Ladies!  The Ladies of the Dixon Churches (Dixon Area Church Women United-we are members) will be celebrating May Friendship Day on May 6th.  We will have a 12 noon meal prepared by the ladies of St. Patrick Catholic Church in their Holloway Center at 612 S. Highland.  After which we will have a program entitled "Living Our Friendship, Passing on the Key".  The tickets may be purchased from Gerry French-one of our Key Women - for $6 by May 1st.  Anyone who has a Least Coin Offering (put in a penny for each time you pray for peace) may bring them at this time.  Also any donation for the Dixon Area Food Pantry may be contributed at this time.  Please plan on attending if you are able.

Hope: Quake 2011

Sixteen youth and adults will represent St. Paul at the Quake at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells from April 29 through May 1, 2011.  Please help support them with your prayers and, if you can, with some financial gifts.  All who donate to our travel and adventure will be invited to join us between services on May 8 (Mother's Day) to talk with us one on one.  We will share our adventure with you as you share your gifts with us!  In advance, thank you very much.   If you wish, use the envelope provided, the sheet with the list of participants and a check made out to St. Paul LYO or cash.  If you want to designate an individual you are supporting, feel free to circle that name.  If you wish to support the group, just turn in an unmarked list.

Second Congregational Meeting

Please join us for a second congregational meeting on Sunday, May 1st between the worship services in the fellowship hall where a report will be provided as to the proposal presented at the Annual Congregational Meeting in regard to a "Restricted Reserve Operating Fund".  A congregational vote will be taken at that time as to whether or not to accept the proposal of this Special Committee.

Update From The Call Process Committee

We are getting closer to finding a new Pastor. The Council met the candidate, Janet Wittenmyer, and voted their approval.  Please plan to attend a Special Congregational Meeting to visit with Pastor Janet that will take place on Palm Sunday, April 17th after the 11 am worship service with a potluck luncheon for you to become acquainted and ask her questions.  Please bring a dish to pass and table service for this occasion.    A congregational vote will be taken at that time as to whether to accept her as our new Pastor.
