TRUST, TALENT, TREASURE AND TIME

You have received two letters from the stewardship and finance committee, and you will receive two more.  We are leading our commitment drive with these mailings.  In these you are reading about the various activities that support the mission of St. Paul's to Share the Values of Jesus.  We will have a commitment card in our last letter.  These may be turned into the office or the offering basket on commitment weekend - November 19 and 20.  In advance and continually, we thank everyone for the support you give of your trust, time, treasure and talents.    ~~Stewardship and Finance Committee

TO THE CONGREGATION OF ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH

A forum will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2011 and Sunday, December 4, 2011 to have a conversation as to how to move forward as a united church community.  Included in the discussion will be the number of worship services offered at St. Paul. The congregation will be asked for input as to what might be the advantages/disadvantages of combining worship services.  Your ideas and thoughts are needed. Please join this discussion on one or both of the Sundays noted. Each forum will be held in the Fellowship Hall between services: 9:30 am to 10:30 am. The congregation will receive written feedback as to responses received from those members present.  May the Holy Spirit guide us.        ~~St. Paul Lutheran Church Council

ORGAN RECITAL

St. Paul Lutheran Church cordially invites you to attend the dedicatory recital of the newly refurbished organ this Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 7pm.  It has been a long hard process but we have reached the end of our journey.   Richard Hoskins is the professor of organ at Carthage College, Kenosha, WI.  He is the organist for St. Chrysostom's Church in the Chicago suburbs.  He will provide at least an hour of music demonstrating the versatility of the organ and the variety of musical forms.  Following the recital, there will be refreshments served in the fellowship hall on the lower level.  Stay and meet with the artist and enjoy the fellowship.
